HOW CAN YOU HELP?
1. GET INVOLVED: If you agree with the Lowell Declaration, care about New England and are open minded to all potentials for the region's future, join the New England Confederation, a Coalition for New England's Future! If you feel committed enough, consider starting a chapter. E-mail this site for more information.
Check the NEC, CNEF websites frequently for news updates.
2. SPREAD THE WORD: It's very important that credible individuals mainstream the New England Confederation concept to our people. Talk about it with your friends, form discussion groups and otherwise get the word out. From our experience so far, New Englanders generally are open to the ideas. Try to put a positive spin on it: Sure, we're all fed up with Washington, but let's work to put New England first because we all care about our liberty, each other and a future of justice and freedom for our children.
3. BUY NEW ENGLAND PRODUCTS: Try to patronize New England-based businesses and to buy products made in New England. If you own a New England business and aren't afraid to publically appear on this website, e-mail us your business name, address and what you do and we'll put it on the site, together with a link to your website, if any.
New England needs a strong economy!
4. FLY NEW ENGLAND's FLAG: It's important for New Englanders to re-acquaint themselves with our traditional regional symbols. Among these are several versions of a New England flag. The flag used in the logo of the New England Confederation, A Coalition for New England's Future, and in our websites, was the last "official" flag, believed flown at the Hartford Convention in 1814.
Known under several names, including the "Continental Colors" and the "Pine Tree Flag," we like to call it the "Pine Tree Banner. Get one and fly it with pride over your home or business! Some flag stores carry them, or you can buy one from the online catalog of New River Press in Rhode Island, which offers them at cost.
