-At the home, 660 University Avenue, Washington Hubbard, 45 years old, died Saturday. He was a native of Virginia. The body is at the O'Donnell undertaking establishment. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday at a place to be announced later. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The body is at the O'Donnell Chapel.
-Funeral services for Elizabeth Sloan Hubbard, 66, 660 University Street, who died in a Salt Lake City Hospital Thursday of coronary occlusion, will be conducted tomorrow at 1:30 pm at 255 Second East Street. Born Sept. 28 1876 in Lanark County, Scotland, a daughter of Isaac Sloan and Margaret McDonald Sloan, she lived in the vicinity of Salt Lake for 27 years and in the United States for 60 years. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Spencer of Ely, Nev., and Mrs. Jean Carter of Los Angeles; two brothers, John Sloan of Los Angeles and William Sloan of Billings, Mont. Friends may call at 255 Second east Street today from 4 to 8 pm and tomorrow until time of services. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Windsor, Dec. 3- John Mason Sloan, 73, died at his home at Star Route 1, Box 289, today. Mr. Sloan was a retired painter and came to Windsor 16 years ago. He was born in Ireland. In addition to his wife, Hazel Fay Sloan, seven children also survive. Cora F. Maynard of Redwood City, Jack A. Sloan of San Francisco, Jesse M. Sloan of Oakland, Mrs. Gladys D. Mott of Healdsburg , Shirlock C. Sloan, Jean Marie Sloan and Patrick C. Sloan of all of Windsor. He was also the brother of William Sloan of Napa, Joe Sloan of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Jean Carter of Los Angeles. Services will be held at the chapel of Fred C. Young & Co. at Healdsburg.

-Margie Elane Thorup Sloan, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 21, 1996, after a valiant struggle with Alzheimers Disease. She was born April 27, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Henry J. Thorup and Lou Pearl Casey. She married Joseph H. Sloan (Jr.) May 13, 1939 in Salt Lake. He preceded her in death, March 20, 1977. member of the LDS Church. Margie was a devoted wife and mother of four children. The welfare of her family was always first in her mind, heart and actions. She had a happy and pleasant disposition. Her cheerful countenance and loving kindness will be deeply missed by her family. Happily, however she has returned home to her Father in Heaven, who gave her life, and to loved ones who preceded her in passing. She is survived by four children: Jack (Dixie), Ronald (Christina) of Seattle, Carolyn (David) Koehler, and Craig: eleven grandchildren, Steven, Clint, Sherrie, Shelley, David, Denise, Brian, Jenny, Audrey, Abraham, and Jackie; Three great-grandchildren, Lindsay, David III, and Alex; brother, Homer (Pete) Thorup; sister, Bette (Art) Miranda of California. Preceded in death by grandson Paul; brother, Glen. Las Vegas, NV - Darrell Phil Spencer, age 80, died Monday Apr. 9, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV of a lingering illness. He was born Feb. 25, 1913 in Randolph, Utah. He married Maxine Hafen of St. George. They have resided in Las Vegas for 40 years, where Phil was owner and operator of Sun Equipment Distributors Company. He served as President of Las Vegas Lions Club. He was an active Member of the LDS Church, serving as Bishop and Stake Missionary. He is survived by his wife; Maxine Hafen Spencer of Las Vegas; daughters, Barbara Prince of Worthington, Ohio; Christine Byrd of Las Vegas; and son Darrell Keith Spencer of Provo; 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday Apr. 16, at 11:00 AM at the 8th and Franklin LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday 7-9 at Bunker Brothers Mortuary, and on Friday one hour prior to the services at the chapel.
